Sea Limited Reports Second Quarter 2026 Results

Sea Limited (NYSE: SE) (“Sea” or the “Company”) today announced its financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026.

In the second quarter of 2026, Sea’s GAAP revenue was US$7.8 billion, up 48.1% year-on-year. The Company also achieved gross profit of US$3.5 billion, up 47.3% year-on-year, and net income of US$458.1 million, up 10.6% year-on-year. Adjusted EBITDA(1) increased by 10.6% year-on-year to reach US$917.2 million.

“Our strong momentum from the first quarter has continued into the second. Our investments have enabled Shopee and Monee to continue to strengthen our market leadership while improving our user penetration. We will continue to invest prudently in serving more users and serving them better, broadening our foundation for profitable growth into the future,” said Forrest Li, Sea’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

On Shopee, he said, “Shopee has delivered a strong first half of 2026. We again achieved new highs in GMV, gross order volume and revenue in the second quarter. Our improving operational efficiency and growing scale have strengthened our unit economics. With this solid momentum, we are optimistic that Shopee will achieve the milestone of US$1 billion in adjusted EBITDA for the full year.”

On Monee, Mr. Li said, “Monee also delivered another great quarter, with broad-based growth across our products and markets. The advances in our risk capabilities are compounding: each improvement helps us serve more users, serve them better, and reach further beyond Shopee. We are still at an early stage of growth. Only a fraction of the users across our ecosystem are using Monee's financial products today, and credit penetration remains low across our markets. This gives us great confidence in Monee's long-term growth and earnings potential.”

On Garena, Mr. Li said, “Garena delivered another strong quarter across bookings and profitability. Free Fire anchored this strong performance, continuing to draw in over 100 million average daily active users. We continue to work towards diversifying our portfolio with two recently announced mobile games: Palworld Online and Monster Hunter Outlanders, both built on strong, globally recognized IP. We remain committed to delivering the high-quality experiences our players know us for.”

Non-GAAP Financial Measures

To supplement our consolidated financial statements, which are prepared and presented in accordance with U.S. GAAP, we use the following non-GAAP financial measures to help evaluate our operating performance:

* “Adjusted EBITDA” for our Shopee segment, Monee segment and other services segment represents operating income (loss) plus depreciation and amortization expenses. We believe that the segment adjusted EBITDA helps to identify underlying trends in our operating results, enhancing their understanding of the past performance and future prospects.

* “Adjusted EBITDA” for our Garena segment represents operating income (loss) plus (a) depreciation and amortization expenses, and (b) the net effect of changes in deferred revenue and its related cost for our Garena segment. We believe that the segment adjusted EBITDA helps to identify underlying trends in our operating results, enhancing their understanding of the past performance and future prospects. Beginning with our earnings release for the third quarter of 2026, we will exclude (b) from Adjusted EBITDA for our Garena segment but continue to disclose it as supplemental information.

* “Total adjusted EBITDA” represents the sum of adjusted EBITDA of all our segments combined, plus unallocated expenses. We believe that the total adjusted EBITDA helps to identify underlying trends in our operating results, enhancing their understanding of the past performance and future prospects.

These non-GAAP financial measures have limitations as analytical tools. None of the above financial measures should be considered in isolation or construed as an alternative to revenue, net loss/income, or any other measure of performance or as an indicator of our operating performance. These non-GAAP financial measures presented here may not be comparable to similarly titled measures presented by other companies. Other companies may calculate similarly titled measures differently, limiting their usefulness as comparative measures to Sea’s data. We compensate for these limitations by reconciling the non-GAAP financial measures to their nearest U.S. GAAP financial measures, all of which should be considered when evaluating our performance. We encourage you to review our financial information in its entirety and not rely on any single financial measure.

The tables below present selected financial information of our reporting segments, the non-GAAP financial measures that are most directly comparable to GAAP financial measures, and the related reconciliations between the financial measures.
