Acer Chairman Jason Chen expects PC component costs to increase 5-20% in Q4 2026 and peak by mid-2027, before additional supply helps prices begin a gradual decline.
DDR4 and DDR5 memory are no longer facing acute shortages, while CPU availability is improving apart from some entry-level and mid-range SKUs, according to Chen. Semiconductor manufacturers are also continuing to expand facilities to produce more memory.
