Lowey Dannenberg, P.C. is Investigating Hims & Hers Health, Inc. (NYSE: HIMS) for Potential Violations of the Federal Securities Laws
NEW YORK, Aug. 06, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Lowey Dannenberg P.C., a preeminent law firm in obtaining redress for consumers and investors, is investigating Hims & Hers Health, Inc. (NYSE: HIMS) (“Hims & Hers” or the “Company”) for potential violations of the federal securities laws.
On July 29, 2026, the Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”), joined by the States of Utah and California, filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California alleging that Hims & Hers engaged in deceptive and unlawful business practices. The complaint alleges that Hims & Hers charged consumers for prescriptions immediately upon submission of an online intake form — before a provider had determined that treatment was appropriate — and enrolled consumers in recurring subscriptions without their approval. The complaint further alleges that the Company deliberately made it difficult for consumers to cancel their subscriptions, and that Hims & Hers shared consumers’ sensitive health information with third-party advertising platforms, including Meta and Snap, despite representing to consumers that such information would remain private. The complaint alleges violations of the FTC Act, the Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act, the Utah Consumer Sales Practices Act, and California’s False Advertising and Unfair Competition Laws.
