LOS ANGELES, Oct. 11, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sysco Corporation (NYSE:SYY), the leading global foodservice distribution company, today called on Teamsters Locals 630 and 848 to end their strike at Sysco’s Los Angeles facility and finalize an agreement. The parties have agreed on fair, generous and competitive wages, pension contributions, benefits and time off. The sole unresolved issue is union-demanded language that could permit strikes at any time, exposing customers and communities to repeated service disruption.
Sysco’s final offer provides an $8.00-per-hour wage increase by April 2027, with wage growth of more than 40% over the contract term. It also includes increased pension contributions and pension-eligible hours, a sixth week of vacation after 30 years of service, and double-time pay after 12 hours. By October 2029, the top hourly rate would exceed rates in a recently ratified agreement with another major foodservice distributor.
