Taiwan’s TSMC (TSM), the world’s largest contract chipmaker, is evaluating a potential Texas investment to expand US chip production beyond its $265 billion commitment in Arizona, sources said.
The plans have not been finalised, according to two sources familiar with the matter. The sources spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.
